Calls the characters took
Forwarded calls your rules sent to a character. Listen to how it went.
Your neighbors are the cyfrAI characters who answer the calls your screening sends them. Pick who answers, hear them introduce themselves, and make them your own.
Who answers
The characters are cyfrAI. Unless you pick one, the whole Neighborhood takes turns. Tap a portrait to choose a favorite, and tap ▶ to hear them introduce themselves.
Your voice and your messages
Want your own personal character and script?
Tell us who they are and how the call should go. We review every request before anything is built, and we’ll email you either way.
Which calls a neighbor takes. Each call is checked in this order, and the first rule that matches decides. Anything no rule catches goes to your voicemail.
1 · People you know
Contacts
Your carrier forwards every call you miss, including people you know. Contacts always get your voicemail, never a character.

2 · Caller-ID checks
Caller-ID verification
Phone carriers sign most calls to vouch that the caller ID is real (STIR/SHAKEN). Choose what each result does. “Doesn’t decide” moves the call on to the rules below.
Fake numbers
Some caller IDs can’t exist: the number belongs to no phone company, or isn’t a possible number at all. A real phone can’t call from one, so the caller faked it. We check against the official list of assigned US numbers, updated daily.
3 · Scam lists
cyfr.tel scam line
Our own list: numbers that called the cyfr.tel scam line in the last 90 days and got a neighbor. These are real calls we received, not reports. Customers, their contacts and our testers are never on it.
FTC complaint list
Numbers people have reported to the FTC as unwanted calls. Pick which reports count. A report isn’t proof: many scammers spoof real people’s numbers.

FCC complaint list
Numbers people have reported to the FCC as unwanted calls or texts, as the caller ID or the number the caller said to call back. Pick which reports count. A report isn’t proof: many scammers spoof real people’s numbers.

4 · Number type and place
Internet phone numbers
Numbers from calling apps are free and disposable, so scammers use them a lot. People you know are safe either way: your contacts always reach your voicemail.
Caller area codes
Send calls from these places to a character even if the number was never reported. Check places where you don’t know anyone.
